Investor Hour Seminars In The ASX
The Australian Securities Exchange or the ASX organizes lunchtime financial and trading education seminars for the convenience of all those who are interested in stock market trading. And since these sessions are organized by the ASX, naturally those who participate find them most helpful. These seminars are organized at all the major Australian cities at Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
Among those who attend these seminars are both new investors as well as the experienced ones who take this opportunity to learn about the latest from the markets. These seminars are actually organized by the Australian Shareholders’ Association or the ASA and the SDIA or the Securities Derivatives Industry Association. Key people from the industry present these sessions, that is popularly referred to as the ASX Investor Hour.
Some Upcoming Investor Hour Seminars
One such seminar would be held at Adelaide on the 16th of September at Cinema 1, Palace Nova East End Cinema, Cinema Place (off 250 Rundle Street). It will start at 12 noon and will last for 1 hour and the tickets have been priced at $5. Those who are interested can get the tickets 30 minutes before the presentation at the door. The topic that will be covered this time is – “U, V or W – what shape will economic recovery take”?
Sydney will be hosting another seminar the day before that on September 15th. It will be held at the Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt Street, Sydney and the topic for this one is – “Recovery in the Market”.
Another important seminar will be held ay Melbourne on October 7th and the presenter here is James Dunn, the media consultant and freelance finance journalist. It will be held at the RMIT Storey Hall, 342 Swanston Street, near Latrobe St, diagonally opposite “Melbourne Central” train station. Reaching out to the future, the topic covers – “How will investors think of International Shares as an asset class in the future”?
Other important investor hour seminars that are going to be held will be on October 6th at Perth and the topic covered here is – “The Earnings Announcement effect on Company Shares”. One more seminar is coming up at Brisbane on October 7th, however for this one, the topic has not yet been announced.
These investor hour seminars have become very popular and though they are for just an hour, but it is always better 30 minutes before the presentation is made.
